Native plants can be hard to find at box stores, garden centers, and nurseries.
It’s really frustrating knowing the importance of native plants but not being able to find them for sale.
So we’ve been growing a handful of different Midwest US natives to sell locally!
All of our nursery plants are grown from seed in a mixture of vermicompost and garden soil.
We also water them with compost extract to maintain and build the beneficial microbes.
We never add synthetic chemicals like pesticides.
Most commercially sold plants are treated with pesticides at some point before you buy them. However, our plants are completely safe for insects and wildlife! They’ve never touched pesticides.
Our plants are potted in repurposed containers to reduce plastic.
We always keep nursery pots when we buy plants to reuse in the future and reduce plastic usage. We ask that you also repurpose or recycle the container your plant is growing in.
